Abstract

Regional boundaries are important for the regions, including for Batu City, because they are the boundaries for the implementation of regional autonomy. As emphasized in Law Number 23 of 2014 Autonomous Regions are legal community units that have territorial boundaries that are authorized to regulate and manage government affairs and the interests of local communities according to their own initiatives based on the aspirations of the people in the system of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The clarity of the boundaries of an area/region will make it easier to manage bordering areas, as well as reduce and even eliminate disputes that may occur between bordering areas. Boundary structuring activities between Villages by carrying out tracking of the plan for the location of boundary pillars and boundary segments between Villages based on Permendagri Number 45 of 2016 concerning Guidelines for Determining and Affirming Village Boundaries. This research is a type of descriptive research using a qualitative approach. which aims to obtain information about the current state by looking at the relationship between existing variables. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation, and FGD. then the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that Batu City has installed temporary (non-permanent) signs at the boundary point locations by including the number of pillars according to the work map that has been agreed upon by the relevant villages.
