Abstract

Teachers today have a significantly wider role than they did in the past in imparting information in a period of fast technological innovation and changing social needs. Teachers of today are thought to be important role models for developing their pupils' emotional, social, and ethical growth in addition to their academic accomplishment. This essay offers research on the characteristics that, in the contemporary classroom, make an effective teacher. It examines the changing roles that educators must play, highlighting the need of flexibility, critical thinking, and digital literacy while maintaining values such as empathy, moral rectitude, and cultural sensitivity. In order to continue forming well-rounded, imaginative, and knowledgeable citizens, it will be crucial for education in the future to assist educators in adjusting to these shifting expectations.
